Elder Robert Gay, of the Seventy, and his wife, Sister Lynette Gay, were in town March 16-18th, for the Crestwood Stake Conference, and blessed us with a special Missionary Meeting Saturday morning. Those invited to participate were the Crestwood Zone and part of the Louisville Central Zone. In the meeting, we did Recitals like in Zone Conferences, and had several companionships talk about conversion stories. Sister Gay then spoke. and Elder Gay took the remainder of the time. This was an especially great experience for President and SIster Woodbury not only for the wonderful instruction and counsel Elder and Sister Gay imparted, but also as a reunion of sorts, since the Gays and the Woodburys were both in Boston at the same time while the President and Elder Gay were at Harvard Business School. (If you're confused, President Woodbury was simultaneously at the Harvard Law School.)
After the meeting, Elder Gay, the Crestwood Stake President and his counselors, and President Woodbury went out separately with companionships to teach investigators or meet with less-active members. With both occasions and the wonderful Stake Priesthood Leadership and Stake Adult Session Saturday night and the Stake General Conference Session Sunday, we all left richly fed and empowered in the Work. (President Woodbury spoke at the Saturday Adult Session and Sister Woodbury was asked to bear her testimony at the Sunday at the General Session.)
