Zone Conferences are always a great time to be able to see every zone and how they are functioning, provide counsel and training, and move onward and forward, as the song "Called to Serve" says. This time around it wasn't as if we hadn't seen each other for a long time. After all, we had had Transfers, New Missionary Special Training Conferences, a visit and meeting with Elder Kopischke of the Seventy, and a Mission Tour and conferences with Elder Nash, likewise of the Seventy. Nevertheless, President Woodbury felt like the mission as a whole still needed the Zones to meet for Tune-Ups and three rotating training and practice sessions, aka role-playing.
The three break-outs were conducted respectively by President Woodbury, the Assistants to the President, Elder Quick and Elder Anderson, and the Zone Leaders, Elder Howard and Elder St. Martin for Louisville Central, and Elder Taylor and Elder Thomas for Louisville West. In addition there were the usual Recitals, Contacting and Conversion stories, a cleanliness workshop and singing of the Missionary Medley by Sister Woodbury, and Auto Safety and general Tune-Ups by President Woodbury. The missionaries who are going home before the next Zone Conferences had the opportunity to bear their testimonies, and of course, we all sang "Called to Serve" to thank the wonderful Relief Society ladies who provided lunch.

And after it was all over, we gathered in the gym for Sister Woodbury's chocolate chip cookies, copies of the pictures she had taken since the last Zone Conference, and copies of the Trumpet newsletter, as well as lots of socializing and picture-taking (and a little fun).
