We had the unusual privilege of having two Apostles in our mission March 1st through 3rd. Elder L. Tom Perry and Elder Quentin R. Cook both came into town to meet with the Archbishop here in Louisville and the head of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. They were accompanied by Elder Whitney Clayton of the Presidency of the Seventy and also Elder Rulon Munns, our Area Seventy. There was a Regional Priesthood Leadership Conference on Saturday during the day and a wonderful Mission Conference with us that evening. We brought all our missionaries into Louisville so everyone could have the experience of hearing these Special Witnesses of Jesus Christ. It was an amazing experience for us all and one that the missionaries especially will surely remember their whole lives. The schedule was tight so no pictures were possible, but everyone got to shake Elder Perry's and Elder Cook's hands as well as Elder Clayton, Elder Munns, and their wives. (The pictures are from the internet...)

On Sunday Elder Perry spoke to the Louisville Stake at a special Stake Conference, Elders Clayton and Munns went to Lexington, and Elder Cook came with President Woodbury and I to the Crestwood Stake. President Woodbury was called upon to speak and did a great job. We had been asked to pick up Elder and Sister Cook at their hotel downtown so had the lovely opportunity to visit with them for the duration of the drive and also in a special meeting with the Stake Presidency and their families in the High Council Room after the meeting.
