The place was the Mission Home on Tartan Way in Louisville, Kentucky. The day was Tuesday, October 8, 2013. The time was 10:30 a.m. The doorbell rang, we opened the door, and this is what we saw:
Much to our relief it wasn't a group of wannabe participants on Donald Trump's "Apprentice," or salespeople eager to have us test drive their used automobiles, or nannies waiting in line to interview for a position like in "Mary Poppins." Rather, it was twenty-four of the most wonderful, dedicated, and hard-working missionaries on the planet, singing their hearts out in anticipation of the October Mission Leadership Council of the Great Kentucky Louisville Mission.
The morning went as usual with another song and a prayer to open the council, a welcome to new members, Hermana Messerly and Hermana Hansen, calendaring, instruction and Tune-Ups from President Woodbury. Each pair of Zone Leaders and Sister Training Leaders then had their turn to report on last month's activities, how the District Leaders and missionaries in each District are doing, what they as leaders have been doing to strengthen their respective stewardships, and their goals and plans for this month.
After lunch featuring stuffed jumbo pasta shells with meat sauce, it was back to the Training Room downstairs for instruction and role-plays on how to teach District Leaders how to hold a District Meeting and Working with Ward Councils.

I don't exactly know how to label this photo, but here goes:
Far back: President Woodbury, Elder Evans, Elder Sizelove, Elder Stohel, Elder J. Anderson, Elder Hawes
In front of them: Sister Woodbury, Sister Vikari, Sister Jensen, Elder Whitehead, Elder Earl, Elder Carly, Elder Dopp, Elder St. Martin

Kneeling: Elder Hicken, Elder Howard, Elder Quick |
Elder Quick, finishing his mission in a week, bore his testimony, then President Woodbury wrapped it up. Pictures were taken outside on the grass, a few people needed Temple Recommends, and that was that, until next month.
