To Bee or Not to Bee...

It was Halloween, and no one was coming to the Mission Home, as is normal since its in a neighborhood with very few children and is on the corner of a very busy street. So, tucking a note to help themselves in a basket on the front porch, just in case, we, President and Sister Woodbury, donned our bee costumes and went out in search of some fun.

We didn't have to search far, for low and behold, a sizeable group of Too Old to Be Trick-or-Treaters had gathered at the church on Hurstbourne Parkway, all with the same idea, to dress-up like Mormon missionaries! What luck! They acted glad to see us and welcomed us in, many of them wanting to take their pictures with us.

Lest anyone think we were total freeloaders, we did bring along some snack and treats, just in case.

The assembled people were from two Zones, Crestwood and Louisville West, minus a few who weren't able to travel from their areas. Their fearless Zone Leaders staged several games to entertain the masses, the first being several dangling donut-eating competitions...

and a ridiculously fun other game, though we never caught the name, where people walk around until a pre-rehearsed action is called, whereupon they have to run and find their partner and get into said pose. The last one in position is out.

        Before the party-participants had to leave to make it back to their domiciles before the bewitching hour, everyone gathered for a picture, well actually two.

        And what of the bees? We got home before "curfew," too, having been oh so glad we "crashed" the party and were able to play games, which everyone knows I, Sister Woodbury, LOVE to do. And President Woodbury does, too!
