The Tweedle Fairies

 As part of the aforementioned Zone Conferences, the attendees witnessed a cleanliness skit starring the Assistants, Elder Norton and Elder Thompson, and the Tweedle Fairies, Sister Woodbury and her various singing companions in each area; Sister Mikami the first day, Sister Guerra and Sister Nelson the second, Sister Taylor the third, and Sister Mead the fourth.  Each Sister was imbued with the Tweedle Fairy spirit and looked and sang the part with panache (and fairy dust.)  Elder Thompson and Elder Norton were likewise phenomenal playing the roles of the sloppy, lazy missionaries, who when the fairies rang the doorbell, proceeded to try and stuff all their junk , filth, and clutter into the dishwasher. The terrifically tender and terribly tidy Tweedle Fairies entered and, naturally, changed their lives for the better, singing a modified “Happy Working Song” from the movie, “Enchanted”,

which magically transformed them from slothful Elders into smiling, dancing, joyously clean and tidy Elders who exclaimed “That was fun!”

            After the skit was over, Sister Woodbury introduced her “handy” guide to getting and keeping missionary apartments clean. The little jingle went:

 “Bed, towels, clothes, food, dishes. 

Bed, towels, clothes, food, dishes. 

Bed, towels, clothes, food, dishes – 

That’s what Sister Woodbury wishes!”   

The five fingers of their hands were reminders of the five things to do before leaving their apartments each day and before going to bed at night.  

It was also to remind them of five areas to clean each P-Day before going off on their activities, 

 

and newly added, 5 deep-cleaning tasks to do the first P-Day each month.

            Naturally, as a result of these measures, every one of the Great Kentucky Louisville Mission apartments is spotlessly clean and sparkly, with nary a speck of dust or dirt to be seen, for, tsk, tsk, no one would want to disillusion or disappoint a Tweedle Fairy, now would they?
