A Day in the GKLM - Part Eight: Service

Besides the missionary service the Elders and Sisters give on a daily basis, they are additionally asked to render three or fours hours of service to individuals or the community each week. Often times the hours number quite a bit more, like in the aftermath of the tornadoes last Spring (see March posts) and include building, tearing down, sawing, chopping, cleaning, mowing, painting, feeding people and large birds of prey, moving furniture and other household items, and a whole lot more. For as the song says:  "Doing good is a pleasure, a joy beyond measure, a blessing of duty and love."
